Fun Training for Dogs
Beginners class starting in June on
Sundays 11-12
Wittersham Village Hall, The Street, TN30 7EB

(from Tenterden, go through the village and turn right at the war memorial, the hall is a hundred yards on your left.  Ample parking to the rear of the hall)

Sundays 10-11am and 11 – 12midday

Tuesdays 2-3pm

In these classes we cover basic dog training but include formats that both you and your dog can enjoy and learn from at the same time. I only use kind, reward based training methods as these are proven to be the most effective ways of teaching a dog what is expected of it .

We build some small and safe obstacle type courses for you and your dog to work around which include tunnels and a tyre whilst positively reinforcing your dogs good behaviours and learning.

If anyone has any problem areas that they would like to work on (go on, be honest, we all have them!!) We will then, as a class, work on those areas.  To make the learning and bond building experience even more fun for you and your dog we also teach dog tricks.  Just see how your dog enjoys the laughter and praise that he gets when he 'performs' to your friends and family!

With you and your dog learning in these positive, fun ways you will be amazed at how much easier your pets behaviour and desire to do as you ask in your day to day lives will be!

Please remember to bring along treats/ rewards for your dog. High value rewards will get the best work from your dog. For some dogs, their favourite reward is simply a pat on the head and a kind word. For others it may be a toy but for most, the favourite (and effective ) is food.

No choke chains please. Flat collars and a lead. Please encourage your dogs to toilet before they come into the hall. When entering the hall, please do not stand by the door, it is very intimidating for some dogs to have to walk, on a lead past strange dogs into a novel environment.
